2 LÁBBAL, 2 KERÉKKEL, 4 KERÉKKEL – UTAZÁSI IZOKRÓN TÉRKÉPEK // COMMUTING TIMES ON ISOCHRONE MAPS

This was a project of learning a lot of new things. Soon after the over-the-border street names project, Attila asked me whether I could figure out the inner workings of Mapbox’s scrollytelling tutorial. I had no idea what Mapbox was, let alone that it had a scrollytelling function that could be coded. I had no previous experience with coding either, but I accepted the challenge. In a few hours I could make the map layers change by scrolling, although my initial implementation was not the best. For the time being, it was a great success and a big achievement for me. It opened a whole new area of interest, it being creating interactive maps. Nonetheless, almost a year later I recreated the project in a few hours – it originally took me a good week or so to do it – to make it run smoother, based on the experience I picked up during the time passed.
