Teachers across Hungary had protests and disobedience in the end of 2022. These protests were for a need of improvement in the educational system, for better wages and for support of overworked teachers. One of the protest organisers approached us for a map that they could update whenever a new protest occurred somewhere in Hungary. This map was made in Mapbox GL JS, using the Sheet Mapper tutorial from their site. This allowed us to connect the map to a Google Sheet spreadsheet, where the organisers could add new data: where it happened (with coordinates), how many teachers participated. This new data then automatically showed up on the map, so after the creation of the map, no further work was needed from our side. The project went on for almost 2 months, following the current events of teacher protests.
